The Journey of Allure Lash Lounge

‘The rocky road to success’

Allure Lash Lounge is the award winning ‘Best Lash Salon’ in the UK, but how did it get there?

The Start and Challenges of Opening In the Pandemic

Lash Salon Bristol

Allure Lash Lounge the beauty salon and training academy, was proudly opened by Zandile Dube in summer of 2020. After four years in the lash industry, she noticed a gap in the market. With lashes becoming one of the most popular beauty treatment these days alongside nail extensions she questioned why there weren’t any lash specialist salons in Bristol.

Zandile spent lockdown in 2020 developing this new business and the salon opened on the 15th of August at 241 Cheltenham Road.

Initially the business’ start was impressive but only a few months later the Covid-19 pandemic forced the business to shut for five months. This caused disruption to the launch of a promising new business.

Those months were very hard for the team, at some points there was worry they would not be able to reopen. With perseverance and hard work, she and the team managed to re-open again in April of 2021. They managed to grow an extensive clientele that led the business to reach a fully booked summer-to-winter period.

Allure Lash Lounge then announced a new branch of its business, Allure Academy, providing courses and training for aspiring future beauty technicians which had a lot of demand. Following the launch, the courses were very popular and were quickly fully booked.

Our First Year In Business

By the end of the first year, Allure Lash Lounge had been featured in many outlets and won a national award.

This included Bristol’s biggest newspaper Bristol Post, andBristol 24/7.

Allure Lash Lounge’s journey was also aired on “BBC Radio Bristol” and “Ujima Radio”.

In the summer of 2021 Allure Lash Lounge won “3rd Best Salon in the UK”. The team had grown from four to nine members of staff, and had approximately 2,000 clients.

By October 2022 they won another national award, “#1 Lash Salon in the UK’. Once again Allure Lash Lounge was featured in Bristol’s biggest newspaper.

A big goal of the salon is to make sure they always keep up with latest trends. The search for innovative ideas led to the introduction of its latest treatment of Premium Lash Extensions. This is a type of durable, long-lasting lash extensions from Los Angeles. Allure Lash Lounge is the first salon in the UK to offer this and the demand has exceeded expectations.
